Vipera Will Cover
Easing further losses, two-way shipping of all approved RMAs are on us. Following a troubleshooting session with our technicians to identify the problem, Vipera will either send replacement parts if the repair is deemed simple (nothing more needed than a screwdriver) to limit downtime, or accept the unit at one of our repair centers located in Canada, the United States, the United Arab Emirates or Singapore. Following an in-house assessment, the unit will be either repaired or replaced. The process can take up to 1 month to resolve, but usually 3 weeks is the expected downtime accounting for transit. Vipera will handle RMAs directly after the manufacturer coverage has expired for the remainder of the CYCLESAFE warranty period.
Be Aware
Most if not all Hong Kong and Chinese-based resellers are typically keen to avoid your warranty claims past the expiration period of your serial-number referenced coverage with the manufacturer. These resellers are charged heavy import duties which are unavoidable, and they do not wish to bear the brunt of these costs as it ends up eliminating profit margins that were low to begin with (remember, they are dealing with US dollars where every dollar is significant against their currency). 6 months conveniently also sits outside the credit card chargeback expiration time, even though most resellers will not even entertain this method of payment for a multitude of reasons—lack of aftersales support being one of them.
